1. How long will my
coffee stay fresh?
Quilters Coffee will stay
fresh for about 30 days once you open the vacuum sealed bag. It is
recommended to store coffee in an airtight container in a cool, dry
place away from direct sunlight. We do not recommend that you store
coffee in the refrigerator or freezer. Coffee is very absorbent and may
pick up off flavors from the refrigerator and freezing the beans may
damaged the optimum flavors of the beans.
2. What are the
different types of grinds available?
We
offer whole bean or ground. Whole bean is for the customer who wants to
control the coffee grind to their own specification. Ground is ready
for use in most coffee machines.
3. What are some suggestions for brewing coffee?
For the best tasting coffee, grind the beans just
before brewing. Coarse grinds create a weaker coffee. A fine grind will
make a stronger, more bitter coffee. Use about 1-2 level tablespoons of
ground coffee for every 8 ounces of water. Use more or less depending on
your taste.
Begin with fresh, cold, filtered water. Pure bottled
water or filtered water is much preferred over regular tap water. Most
tap water contains too many minerals which can effect the taste of the
coffee. The best tasting coffees are produced with water that contains
50-100 parts per million of dissolved minerals.
Coffee is at its
peak flavor directly after brewing. Do not leave the coffee on the
burner to long or it may become bitter. If you plan to keep the coffee
longer than a few minutes it should be stored in a thermal server.

Our gourmet coffees are
fresh roasted and shipped the same day. Coffee you buy from your grocer
or specialty store has probably been sitting for several weeks after
roasting, either on their shelves or in a warehouse, robbing it of
freshness each day.
5. Is my personal information secure?
Yes, we use the latest encryption technology to
fully protect your privacy. Any information you provide, including your
name and personal information will be kept confidential. Credit card
numbers are not stored on file for your safety. Quilter's Coffee is
registered with the Authorize.Net Verified Merchant Seal program. We
have partnered with Authorize.Net, a leading payment gateway since 1996,
to offer safe and secure credit card and electronic check transactions
for our customers.
6. How do I return a shipment?
Every item we sell is carefully inspected before it is shipped. If
merchandise is defective or damaged upon receipt please contact us
immediately after your package arrives for a return authorization claim
number. All claims MUST be made within 3 days of receipt of order.
Shipping charges will not be refunded. Returned products must be in
absolutely new and unused condition for refund. See our store
policies.

8. What are the accepted
methods of payments?
We accept the four
major credit cards, Mastercard, Visa, Discover and American Express. You
may also use your Paypal account.

We encourage you to feel comfortable using your
credit card to conduct commerce on our site. However, If you wish, you
may also send us a U.S. Postal Money Order (only) or a personal checks.
Personal checks will delay your order as we must wait for your funds to
clear before we ship any merchandise. Please allow an additional 7-10
business days for shipping of your merchandise if paid by personal
check. To order by check, just print the order form with your shopping
cart contents from the order confirmation page and complete the
necessary fields, then mail the form to the address below.
9. Can I change my coffee
club selection and how do I do this?
Yes, if
you sign up for our Customers Choice Coffee Club, you may change your
coffee selection every month if you like, or leave it as is and we willl
mail the same shipment to you as we did the previous month. You must
send your selection to us one week prior to the order processing date.
We ship on the second Tuesday of the month, so in order to make the
change effective, you must submit your change no later than the first
Tuesday of the month..
